GSA – Regional Office Building Washington D.C.
IEC Systems is currently installing a LonWorks non-proprietary open HVAC and lighting control system for the Regional Office Building (ROB) in Washington D.C. IEC is utilizing web enabled HMI with a LonWorks driver that has a direct software driver to the LNS database for maximum compatibility and performance. The web enable HMI is to be installed on the GSA network. We also provided the integration of existing TAC system that controlled a small number of air handler units and vav boxes in the building into the web enabled HMI to allow for trending, scheduling, commanding, and reading TAC system variables. This provided one seamless user interface for the controls in the building. |
Our scope included new LON controls on approximately 80 air handlers units and hundreds of VAV boxes. This required IEC Systems to develop new sequences and operation parameters to maximize comfort and efficiency to include CO2 monitoring. We surveyed and studied the mechanical systems and how they operated, evaluated the current operating parameters and sequences and developed a new control strategy to operate the facility to maximize energy conservation measures without sacrificing, even making significant improvements to tenant comfort. The new lighting control panels will allow for more efficient usage of the lighting system by allowing time schedules to be utilized to match the occupancy of the building tents and HVAC systems.

NEW products

Without the use of chemicals, filters, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, water softening, magnets or electricity, this proprietary technology copies natural frequencies, permanently embedding them into solid state materials (metals, ceramics and glass) so that they can be utilized to bring water back to its perfect state.
